This piece is part of a collection titled Room 6.
Room 6 grew out of a series of drawings I made after moving into a rented room in Exeter. Situated in the eaves of the house, the room was full of unusual angles and spaces that lent themselves to strong compositions.
The paintings share a consistent colour palette, which, despite variations in light and tone, creates a sense of unity across the work.
Over time, I came to enjoy living in this small attic room, and I hope that sense of appreciation is reflected in the pieces.
