2022- 2023 - Paintings

 

The first eight paintings in this collection started by forging very simplistic figures and allowing a narrative to emerge around them.

​

Working largely from the imagination, simple iPad drawings began the process of composition. The drawings were then copied onto canvasses giving me a base to progress and complete the works.

​

The last four paintings rely more on pencil and iPad drawings from life.

​

I'm trying to simplify the work without reducing it to graphic shapes and losing the atmosphere.
